Gigi’s Sportster, before becoming what it is now, came to us from a friend, but wasn’t running well. So before getting into any aesthetic customization, we needed to do some tuning to get it running a bit healthier and then work from there, which was facilitated in large part both by our installation of an S&S Super E carb, as well as boring out her original 883cc cylinders to a beefier 1200cc, which gave the bike a lot more bite and power than it had before.

We changed the bars, installed the necessary risers and deleted the controls. This cleaned up the bars and gave us a nice, bobbed front end. The control delete also necessitated that we install a custom key switch with a built-in starter function. Since initially photographing the build, we have also installed a high-tunnel Wassell tank, and the pictures of the updated build will definitely be in the pipeline, so stay tuned for those!

Cheryl Lyons Upholstery. We have custom-fabricated a sissy bar with integrated tail-lights, an intricate owl-design, and integrated weld-on license plate bracket, which will also be in the upcoming updated build photos. We shortened the shocks to fit her better, which naturally gave the bike a slightly more aggressive stance without having to modify the front forks.
